It all began in 1989 when Mary was attending the University of South Florida in St. Petersburg and working in the Computer Lab. She participated in several GT Bulletin Boards, the pre-cursor to the Internet and instant messaging. You dialed a number, logged on, uploaded and downloaded files, and participated in forums and email groups. It was Valentines Day and she posted a messages with the letter L in a heart shape. Andy Philpott, an English rake, sent her back a graphic of a beating heart down in a shareware program called "The Draw. She was hooked!

She soon discovered Word Perfect and Graphics and it has been a love affair ever since. She graduated to Pagemaker and Corel Draw, then to Adobe InDesign and Illustrator. Add Fireworks, Photoshop and Flash for the online graphics and photos and you have the present capabilities of Azule Navarre, a partnership for life! One person she got hooked who went on to bigger and greater things in the digital world was a professor at USF named Cecil Greek. Give him a Google!

 Mary worked in the print media for various print shops for five years and has been freelancing ever since. Her children get tired of her pointing to signs or printed material and sayin, "I designed that!" The logo for Azule Navarre was created in Fireworks and the photos in the various photo albums on sites we have created are manipulated in Photoshop. Mary also took family photos, some of them over 100 years old, re-touched them and posted them on a family album. Some are available to the public at:
